Birthing Checklist For Mother and Baby

This is an extensive list of everything that you might need when heading to the hospital to give birth.  You can be selective based on what you think you will personally need.

What to pack for birth / labour:

  • Nightwear and slippers
  • Underwear (preferably disposable underwear)
  • Maternity bras
  • Clothes and shoes to wear home
  • Sanitary pads
  • Breast pads
  • Breast pump

Optional extras for your bag:

  • Toilet paper (more than one ply)
  • Hairdryer
  • Lip Gloss
  • Tissues
  • Magazines or a good book
  • Camera and charger
  • Your mobile phone (don’t forget the phone charger too)
  • Labour Aids — Rescue remedy
